Online Physics Courses

Physics is the study of matter and energy and their interaction with one another. Physics lies at the core of many scientific fields. A baccalaureate in Physics encourages curiosity and fosters the ability to research; creatively solve problems; and evaluate information methodically, accurately, and clearly. Many graduate go on to careers in astronomy, environmental studies, medicine, computer science, and patent law. A Bachelor's degree also provides excellent background for students who want to pursue graduate training in applied physics at either government or industrial laboratories.

Physicists

Physicists explore and identify basic principles governing the structure and behavior of matter, the generation and transfer of energy, and the interaction of matter and energy. Some physicists use these principles in theoretical areas, such as the nature of time and the origin of the universe; others apply their physics knowledge to practical areas, such as the development of advanced materials, electronic and optical devices, and medical equipment.
