Residential Planning Diploma Online
Through a Residential Planning Diploma program, students gain an understanding of the fundamentals of interior design. Credits are generally accepted toward an Interior Design Bachelor of Science degree program. Students learn how to maximize the efficiency and livability of residential interiors through the study of textiles, space planning, and kitchen and bath design. Technical courses such as Drafting help graduates to visually represent customers' ideas and accurately communicate details to contractors and suppliers. Coursework may also include emphasis on home ownership, housing, design requirements, and special structural design considerations. Upon graduation students will be prepared to compete for entry-level positions such as residential planner, kitchen and bath designer, interior design retailer, showroom coordinator, manufacturers representative and freelance design consultant.
